Stephen Sperber

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My practice has been in Walnut Creek, California. I am currently seeing clients only using telehealth video sessions. I have found telehealth sessions to be both personal and effective. I have over 30 years of experience working with adults and adolescents who have a wide range of personal and interpersonal challenges.

I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Southern California and a Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh.

I am a Clinical Member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the East Bay Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology at California State University, East Bay, and in the Psychology Department at Chapman College.

Expert witness in cases of child development and family dynamics and in cases of child sexual abuse in the Superior Court, Contra Costa County.

Mediator in child custody disputes for the Superior Court, Alameda County.

Radio and television guest and presenter. Topics include decision-making, sex addiction, adolescent development, child and adult sexual abuse, dysfunctional relationships, and effective treatment strategies.
